Embodied Ayurveda

A year long journey exploring the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda with mind, body and spirit.

Are you interested in learning more about Ayurveda in a slow, intentional container?

Do you want to learn in a way that creates space for information to land in your body and become integrated?

Would you like your learning to feel less like a “class” and more like a mini retreat with a community of others.

Embodied Ayurveda is that container.

We meet once a month, on zoom. Each month covers a foundational concept from Ayurveda.

The structure is what makes this unique!

Each session has four main parts:

LEARN-

The first part will be class on the particular topic with space for questions.

MOVE-

Next we will move. We will do some type of movement practice (yoga, somatic movement, somatic stretch & shake, authentic movement, etc) with the concept of the class as the theme or a seasonal theme.

INTEGRATE-

This is the part that is really special. This is time built in to integrate what you have learned in whatever way feels right to you in the moment.

This could look like: journaling, lying in shavasana or a restorative yoga pose, reading, pulling oracle cards, moving, meditating, resting, etc

SHARE-

Finally, we will come back together and share either as a group (if the group is small enough) or in small groups. This is a space to speak whatever wants to be said. There is a power in being witnessed and witnessing others. You may speak about that month’s concept, something currently happening in your life or your experience from the session.

Ayurveda as an embodied practice

The word Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit and can be broken down to the “the science or study of life”.

It is wonderful to learn and study these concepts with our minds, but “life” is an embodied experience unfolding in real time.

These classes are a bit of an experiment:

What happens if we learn these ancient principles and concepts,

move them into our bodies,

take space to rest and integrate the concepts,

and then share and learn from each other?

What if we do this together once a month, allowing space for these concepts to become integrated into our daily lives so that the concepts become embodied and lived experience?

Which Ayurvedic Concepts will be covered?

Embodied Ayurveda is a living, growing container so things may shift and change but some topics that will be covered are:

The roots of Ayurveda, the five elements, the three doshas (with deep dives into each dosha in it’s respective season), agni(digestive fire) and ama (unprocessed toxicity), gunas of the mind, the seven dhatus (tissues of the body), six stages of disease, three primary root causes of disease, the vital essences (prana, tejas, and ojas), the three pillars of health, herbs, the six tastes and more!

Do I need to commit to the entire year?

No. While committing to the year journey has benefits and will give you a fuller, deeper experience of Ayurveda through the seasons you may join and cancel at any time.

The Heart of the Work

At its core, Rhythm & Ritual is about re-establishing trust with your body.

In Ayurveda, rhythm is how the nervous system feels safe.
Regular meals. Predictable rest. Gentle transitions. Seasonal awareness.

When rhythm returns, the body remembers how to regulate.

Who This Is For:

This program is designed for women who:

✓ Are currently in perimenopause (or see it coming and want to prepare)

✓ Feel tired, wired, or completely out of sync with their bodies

✓ Notice that stress hits harder and takes longer to recover from

✓ Are exhausted from trying to figure this out alone

✓ Have been dismissed or told "your labs are fine" when you know something is off

✓ Want a body-honoring, gentle approach — not another "optimize yourself" program

✓ Are curious about Ayurveda (no prior experience needed)

✓ Are ready to slow down and actually listen to what their body is asking for

About Kristen | Ayurvedic Health Counselor & Nervous System Guide

I’m Kristen, a board certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher, Somatic Stress Release Practitioner and nervous system-informed coach.

My work is rooted in listening — to the body, to cycles, to what’s changing beneath the surface. I support women through transitions with practices that are gentle, personalized, and deeply respectful of the nervous system.

Rhythm & Ritual brings together the threads of my work: Ayurveda, somatic awareness, seasonal living, and the belief that healing happens when we slow down enough to feel supported.

This Is Not About Fixing Yourself.

It's about coming home to yourself.

You're not broken. You're not failing. You're not "too sensitive" or "too much."

Your body is recalibrating. It's asking for something different.

And with the right support, you can learn what that is — and give it to yourself with wisdom, compassion, and trust.
